Dam Site River Campground is on the shores of upper White River, below Beaver Dam and Lake. The campground is popular for trout fishing. The lake also offers ample boating opportunities. The campground is divided into three sections, giving it a more private feel, and sites are mostly spacious.
Most campsites have shade and plenty of room, and are just a short walk to the river. Amenities include electric, water, fire rings, picnic tables, and lantern hooks. Flush toilets and showers are also available on site. Other amenities include a playground, boat ramp, and dump station.
We had site #7, which was set back further than most, and had plenty of shade.
From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Hwy 62 West and travel about 4 miles. Then turn left on Hwy 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Take the first right after crossing the dam and follow signs to the campground. If you come in from the north side of Hwy 187, take the last left before crossing the dam.

For any epic journey to succeed, the hero must rely on every form of assistance he can grasp. No hero is so noble and fearless, that he can withstand the challenges of an epic journey, and live to tell about it.
Of course, our hero continually seeks the wisdom of the great wizard, Greymatr. And, he sometimes requests assistance from elves or fairies. He even relies upon the counsel of his incompetent and untruthful guide, Jeepyess.
Moreover, our hero sought out a certain magical amulet which would assist him in his quest, and ease the challenges of his journey. This magical amulet is indeed worth more than its weight in gold. And, it is highly treasured among the wisest of travelers.
This certain magical charm is known as “America the Beautiful- Lifetime Senior Pass”.
