Cowhide Cove Campground

RV DESTINATION- COWHIDE COVE CAMPGROUND, Arkansas

Cowhide Cove Campground is located on Lake Greeson on the Little Missouri River in Pike County, Arkansas. The campground offers 50 campsites, divided between two campgrounds, consisting of 48 sites with electric hookups and two tent sites without electricity. The RV campsites also have water, picnic tables, ground grills, pedestal grills and lantern poles. Other campground amenities include a dump station, restrooms, a boat ramp, and swim beach.

I liked that each campsite had their own trashcan. There is a nice playground, but it is inconveniently located over the hill. There are also hot showers, but they consist of three curtained stalls in an unlockable room. There are also no security lights in the campground, except maybe at the restrooms.

Caution: In the campground loop, there is a steep/slanted grade at the boat ramp end, which could cause problems for big rigs. Also, the road leading to the campground is winding, narrow, and has a sharp turn. Sites are mid-sized.

Overall, this is a nice park. It is beautiful, and has spacious sites. We were the only ones in the campground at the end of November. Other than the showers, I have no real complaints.
