Waveland Park Campground is a COE park located on the beautiful Blue Mountain Lake near Waveland, Arkansas. Blue Mountain Lake sits in the shadow of Mount Magazine, which is the highest mountain in Arkansas and also the tallest mountain between the Rockies and Alleghenies.
Waveland Park has 51 shaded campsites with electric and water hookups, and one group picnic shelter for day use that can accommodate up to 150 people.
Campsite amenities include water, electric, picnic tables, and fire pit. Visitors can enjoy the playground, and the cypress tree-lined swimming area. There is also an amphitheater, boat ramp, fish cleaning stations, flush toilets, and hot showers. The J. Perry Mikels Blue Mountain Special Use Area on the west end of the lake has a bird dog field trial area, and anyone may use the facilities to train dogs.
Waveland Park is beautiful, and the sites are spacious and large. The campground is well spread out. Most of the sites are unlevel, however, except at the top of the ridge or near the swimming area. When making reservations, pay attention to site lengths, as some are very short.
