Lake Wister State Park is located within the Winding Stair Scenic Byway in SW Oklahoma, near the Quachita National Forest.
RV sites have electric, water, a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. I’m told the park has 30 RV sites with full hookups, and 80 with water and electric. The sites are level concrete pads. The park also offers a swimming area, miniature golf, a splash pad, group picnic shelters, and lighted boat ramps. The park has modern restrooms and hot showers, but they were dirty when I was there.
Lake Wister State Park also offers a group camp that can accommodate up to 100 people and includes a full kitchen and dining hall. They also have 15 cabins, and 35 primitive campsites.
We stayed at the Victor Landing Campground, which is on a 5 mile long rough (but paved) road. Big rigs may have trouble on this road. But, there is no road noise at the campground. It was very peaceful. The sites, however, are close together.
The sites overlook the lake, but there is a steep walk down to the lake.
